All change with modulars

We are pleased to confirm that we sold all 16 axle lines of our Nicolas modular trailer system to Demulder Industries in December 2009. This has been replaced by Goldhofer THP/SL modules with 8 rows delivered in December 2009 and a further 8 rows in January 2010. This combination will have a payload capacity of 519T in 8 row side-by-side configuration. The after sales service and technical support from Goldhofer far exceeds our previous supplier which will enable MTL to offer our clients improved transport solutions.

New MAN's

MTL's existing TGX XXL 8x4 has worked so well and without fault for its first year, we have decided to add an additional vehicle to the fleet. The second TGX XXL 8x4 will be delivered in December '09. This will provide MTL with 3 x 250T tractor units with torque convertors on push/pull capabilities in the fleet. This will also be joined by a 6x4 version rated at 150T capacity, also to be delivered in December '09. Both new MAN's are currently at S.B. Components where heavy duty wings and extra storage lockers are being fitted. Balast boxes to suit both MAN's and Scania's are also under construction.
